Dear Concrete Canoe Participants:

The Committee on National Concrete Canoe Competitions (CNCCC) is pleased to present the 2005 American Society of Civil Engineers National Concrete Canoe Competition Rules and Regulations. The rules are attached as an PDF file and will require Adobe Acrobat to view. You may also download a copy of the rules by clicking on the link below. As you know the rules change from year to year. Though the CNCCC will be available for rules clarifications, it is the responsibility of each team to read and interpret the rules as written.

The CNCCC would like to thank all schools who have participated in past Concrete Canoe Competitions -- both regionally and nationally -- and also those who continue to participate in this fun yet challenging learning experience. For the past 17 years, the National Concrete Canoe Competition has afforded students the opportunity to apply knowledge gained in the classroom to the actual design and construction of a project. In the process, many have developed the communication (both written and oral), management and leadership skills that are essential in today's workplace. Above all, the competition has fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship among all of the participants. This year, we expect no less.
